Good to know

Slipper questions, answered.

Should slippers fit tightly at first?

They should feel secure but not restrictive. Do not depend on dramatic stretching to fix pinching, heel overhang or pressure across the toes.

Can every slipper go in a washing machine?

No. Foam, wool, leather, adhesives and structured insoles respond differently. Always follow the maker’s care instructions.

Do very soft slippers offer good support?

Not necessarily. Softness describes the initial feel; support also depends on shape, stability and how the sole behaves under load.

How often should slippers be replaced?

Replace them when grip is worn, cushioning remains compressed, the upper no longer holds the foot or cleaning cannot restore hygiene.
